Cyberbullying is one of the biggest challenges we face, especially as parents in this new age of technology.<\/p>\n<p>If we look at how technology has changed our lives it\u2019s remarkable and kids are using technology like we\u2019ve never imagined.<\/p>\n<p>So here\u2019s the problem, kids are using technology \u2013 and sophisticated technology \u2013 but as parents, we are usually not up to speed with the technology levels that our kids are [social media, various internet sites and tactics]. It would be like \u2013 and this is what cyberbullying is about \u2013 if I speak French and you don\u2019t and my whole world is French, how are you going to know what I\u2019m doing online?<\/p>\n<p>That is a major problem. If you\u2019re going to give your kids technology as a parent you need to be sure that you know the language [of the internet, how to get to the multitude of social media sites and understand how bullying can take place on the internet].<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, you\u2019re giving them free access to a world that\u2019s dangerous potentially and you\u2019re never going to know how to find it or what to do about it. That\u2019s the scariest thing.
