The increased involvement of negative behavior by parents on and off the field has led to Codes of Conduct being utilized around the country to lessen the impact of bullying.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/Repsectu.com\" target=\"_blank\">RespectU<\/a> Bullying in Sports Program was developed to help decrease bullying behavior seen on the sports field. It provides coaches, players and parents with the material they need to reduce the bullying that negatively impacts the enjoyment of sports in our youth.<\/p>\n<p>My training is practical, flexible and entertaining\u2014and involves the entire team and community in solutions. If we provide the guidelines for sports to be competitive and fun, and help teams develop a \u2018winning\u201d attitude that does not involve bullying, we\u2019re on our way to a successful season. I help players, coaches and teammates learn the difference between \u201cfair play\u201d and \u201cfoul play,\u201d which sets the bullying line from the first day of practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The program covers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bullying in the sports environment &#8211; Is it necessary or a hindrance to success?<\/li>\n<li>On and off-the-field (e.g., locker room, Internet, on-the-road) bullying<\/li>\n<li>Gender differences in bullying and its rapid change<\/li>\n<li>The critical role of teammates doing the right thing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program has been implemented successfully with all levels of players and a variety of sports.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"mailto:joel@respectu.com\/\">Click Here to HAve Dr. Joel Haber Speak at Your Next Sports Team or Organizational Meeting<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Along with issues of bullying in sports, summer camps are know to deal with the issue of bullying. Children come in groups from the same school and area and are introduced to children from other schools and areas.
