Program Overview
Please contact us (via phone or
e-mail)
for pricing and program details.
Program 1:
Staff Training Kick-off:
On-site
Includes up to 250 counselors and staff at your facility during
training week. The 2-hour session includes:
- Role plays designed for your program’s needs
- Awareness/intervention training, including all types of
bullying
- Specific bully-proofing techniques for counselors and staff
- Communication-building exercises for staff
- Discussion of specific issues
Outcome: Builds awareness of bullying, starting right
at the beginning of summer, and gives counselors and staff the tools
and approaches they can use to prevent and manage bullying.
| Optional: |
Full-day program, for specific work with
upper staff. Recommended for large programs who want upper/lower
staff break-out groups, separate male/female groups or for
programs with specific or complex bullying issues. |
Program 2:
Summer-long Bully-proofing:
On-site
Starts with the Kick-off (as above) and also includes one “bullyproof
health check” during your summer session. These return visits reinforce
staff skills and improve problem areas. The program includes:
- A 2-hour orientation for up to 250 staff members (as above)
- One or two additional on-site visits (3 hours each), for
group and individual sessions
- Two hours of phone consulting time, to discuss specific
concerns with senior staff
- Plus, all the communications tools and materials included
in Program 1
Outcome: Bullying issues are addressed and discussed all
season long. Because of the ongoing training/discussion, counselors
keep the skills they learn top-of-mind and develop new abilities
as the summer progresses. Directors will also have a resource to
consult as a “sounding board” for specific issues.
NOTE: To ensure personalized attention, this program will
only be offered to eight programs. Please call early if you are
interested in this option.
Note: Mileage for travel to/from On-Site programs to be billed
at cost.
Program 3:
Group Training
(Pre-season/Off-site)
Camp directors and staff are welcome to have Dr. Haber work with
their leadership teams during the off-season. Joel Haber, PhD will
review basic “bully-proofing” principles in- and off-season. These
